4x4 Friday: Imbolc (Midwinter)

February 2nd marks Imbolc, the ancient Celtic festival that marks midwinter. Celebrating midwinter and pre-spring is this week's 4x4 Friday challenge. What might you create to beckon back the sun, longer days and warmer temps? For those of our friends south of the equator, flip the seasons. How might you welcome fall? There is, afterall, balance in all.

A yellow candle, packet of seeds, and honey. Although I miss the "big" get~togethers and celebrations, I must say that, I get more out of the simpler of My rituals.

Art wise, a big chunky orange resin heart with red swirls and gold wings {as a brOOch or Pendant}

Wonderful images.

To me, Imbolc is the start of spring, the return of light and life beginning to show again. It will be a simple celebration, unlike some of the others, when I bring inthe light for another year.

This is beautiful Kersten! So glad you chose this theme to bring awareness to this reflective mid-winter celebration!
