Oxford Impressions: Sleigh Bells

My day after Christmas was spent working up some pieces using the new holiday images from Oxford Impressions: Sleigh Bells. It was the perfect day for a bit of quiet after the holiday celebrations and a chance to clear my desk a bit. Enjoy!

12 Tags of Christmas: Day 11

Tim Holtz: 12 Tags of Christmas
This is my favorite tag so far. It turned out quite different than the Day 11 tag posted by Tim, but I love the color, the frosted bare branch tree and the Solstice message.

Corset Art!

Oxford Impressions recently released a new plate titled Dress Forms and Corsetry. Of course I was drawn to the corsets and found some fun ways to work them into a 4x4 that became a bday card to be mailed tomorrow and a tag. This week, Theme Thursday's challenge is Fun. What is more fun than flying corsets? :) Enjoy!

Raven Art Journal

We are over halfway through the Raven Art Journal project. Journals have traversed Alaska, the midwest, the east coast and across the pond to the UK and Italy. Looking forward now to the end result as raven journals begin their flights home. Here are the pages I've added to Nigel's book. It will be posted to Italy tomorrow.

Lena, the Sun Dog

My sun girl Lena, our 13-year-old golden retriever passed this day with the help of Doc Bauder's relief vet who helped her take that walk into the woods. Like Olie, she led an adventurous, Alaskan life, but it was her loyalty and friendship and constant companionship that made her "my" dog. Bruce and I buried her up on Harbor Mt., next to Olie, but I'm willing to bet those two are romping the beach out at Starrigavin this sunset evening like five-year-old retrievers with an unlimited number of tennis balls, starfish victims, and getting as wet as they want.
