Let the Good Times Roll

The Sunday Postcard Art challenge is that of celebration, be it Carnivale, Mardi Gras, masks, etc. I have always wanted to attend Mardi Gras, but I think the closest I'll get to it is right here in Alaska. I spent a summer working at the Halsingland Hotel in Haines out of college. Haines had embraced a type of summer Mardi Gras celebration that even now is quite memorable to me. I tried to capture a bit of that in this piece.

Beautiful, colorful entry. Yes, Alaska is a bit of a jaunt from New Orleans, isn't it? Arm chair travel is wonderful, though!
