Open Theme & Happy New Year, Friends!

Both Sunday Postcard Art and Mixed Media Monday have open themes of sort. So today I created both an ATC and a postcard that hopefully meet the challenge for both.

My postcard, Spirit Captured, uses collage images from Lisa's Altered Art and Paperwhimsy. Stamped images are from Inkastamps. The fuzzy green fiber material around the border is actually from my Christmas tree, a beautiful yellow cedar. Locally, we call it bearded moss. It's very dry, a unique shade of green, and seemed to work as the perfect border for a mysterious, wooded arch.

Stamps used for the ATC are from Inkastamps, Catslife Press, Inkastamps, and Time to Stamp/I Brake for Stamps. Postoid is from ArtChix and expression from Lisa's Altered Art.

Here's my ATC for Art Creations Friday. I loved working with this background piece - it bridges the sparkly, shiny winter holidays and sets the tone for a brighter year to come. Happy 2009!

Wednesday Stamper: Bows

Last week's Wednesday Stamper challenge was Bows. I put together a couple of samples for this one. The first has the new PaperArtsy mini my friend Liisa sent me for my bday, star scrap from Inkastamps, and a flourish from Impress. The second sample highlights a ringer from Inkastamps and the lovely new Catslife Press birdies from my friend, Kris.

4x4 Golden

The Mixed Media Monday challenge is all things gold. For this I put together a 4x4 using alcohol inks (including gold), gold sequin waste, gold acrylic paint, gold crackle paint, and gold tree ribbon. Lots of shiny in this piece. Collage fairy by Inkastamps.

Brightness
