Gothic Arch: Spirit Captured

What is it about flourishes that capture our fancy? This week's Gothic Arch challenge is flourishes, hosted by artiste extraordinaire, Kelly B. For mine, I used a subtle layering of distress paints, my most favorite flourish of all time, Wrought Scroll by Christine Adolph, fluid acrylics to stamp the dots, and a cyan blue oil pastel stick for the border. Image and expression are by Lisa's Altered Art. What are your favorite all time flourishes?

Dans ma maison il y a...un papillon

This week's Dans ma maison...challenge involves flutterbies, butterflies, things that flitter and fly. Mostly butterflies. I decided to adorn this week's house with yet another slightly off-kilter roof. La Reine Papillon is an image from ArtChix. The butterflies from Altered Pages. Be sure to check out the art work on this challenge blog - it is international, eclectic, and absolutely amazing. I am so very humbled.

Viva la France

I just adore these French challenges! Frieda picked "Viva la France" for this week's Gothic Arch challenge, so for Mother's Day, I took a quick trip to Paris. Collage images from Altered Pages and Tallulah's. I'm not sure if it's visible in the scan, but the image etched into the gold coin at the top is a dove.

Dans ma maison il y a...une petite fille

This week's Dans Ma Maison challenge includes a house and a little girl. I tried to match the slope of the little girl's hat to the pitch of the roof. The quote is by Marc Chagall, "Great art picks up where nature ends." The quote is from a plate of artsy quotes by Ma Vinci.

Did You Say Diva?

This week's Wednesday Stamper challenge is Diva. Of course divas are demi-queens, so mine wears a crown, slightly crooked of course. All images by Art by Moonlight.

Gothic Arch: Chair

I really had to dig to find some chairs this morning for the Gothic Arch challenge - I knew I had a chair stamp by Rubbermoon, and then of course I had to find my favorite Art Chix-standing-in-a-chair-gal! :) The end result? Voila! Be sure to check out the lovely array of chairs this week.

Tea Party

Cathy's challenge this week is coffee or tea - I went with tea this week. The collage clip by Inka Stamps lends itself well to imaginary tea parties and play. Welcome to May!

Queen of Stripes

This week's Wednesday Stamper challenge is Stripes. Collage clip by Lisa's Altered Art.
