The upcoming Theme Thursday challenge is Santa. I created an ATC and two paint chip tags. The idea for the tags comes from Helga's (the grand dame of ArtChix) blog, My Artistic Life. I ran over to the hardware store after school today to pick up a handful of paint chips for this little project and am pretty happy with the results. Stamps from Time to Stamp/I Brake for Stamps, Hero Arts, Tim Holtz, and Inkastamps. The three collage images are from Collagevisions.

Trying yet another new-to-me challenge this week. The Created Byhand challenge of the week is to create Christmas music cards. Couldn't resist adding a Santa hat (from Collagevisions) to Raven (raven, music and flourish stamps from Quietfire Design).

I'm working on a Row House swap through Oxford Impressions and as I was putting together my tiny house, I realized this gal has a set of eyes that might just qualify for the MMM (Eyes Have it All) challenge! So here's my oh la la gal, with brooding eyes and some shiny bling. All stamps from Oxford Impressions.

Celebration is the Gothic Arch challenge this week. I'm working my magic a bit, hoping for snow, so my arch is in celebration of snow. Collage images from Inkastamps and Altered Pages. Stamped flourish from Stampington. Quote by Dickens reads, "Nature gives of its own to every time and season some beauties."

The WS challenge is Snowflake Kisses. I got to open my bday gift two days early tonight! :) Bruce gave me the new Slice! Now, I admit, I have been slow to jump when it comes to gadgets and cutters and such, but for some reason I was intrigued with this little machine. And rightfully so. I played a bit tonight, cutting one and four inch stars, frilly circles, even tags. My first created piece is Merry Star. Background stamped images from Oxford Impressions and collage image from Collagevisions. Slice from Bruce - THANK YOU! :)

Gayle was kind to offer me the Creative Blogger award this week, so in turn, I get to choose five inspiring bloggers who should also pick up this honor. Thanks much to the following bloggers for their continued blog-spiration and consistent good art! :)
2. Zoiy's Place
5. Vintage Wil
Oh yes, and the rules:
1. The winner may put the logo on their blog.
2. Put a link to the person who sent you the award.
3. Nominate 5 blogs for the award.
4. Put links to their blogs.
5. Leave a message for your nominees.
The MM challenge this week is to make an ornament...or in my case, three. Using Staz On ink, I stamped three images by Oxford Impressions on white tissue paper. I added touches of color using Twinkling H2Os. These were then adhered to glass marbles using Mod Podge. A touch of ribbon and glitter branch made the final touches.

Silhouette is the newest Gothic Arch theme. I'm pretty sure my Muse is linked to the snow somehow as I'm working a lot of snowflakes into recent pieces with little snow in the actual local forecast. Fairies and snowflake stamp from 100 Proof Press. White snowflakes from Oxford Impressions. Muse word stamp from Ma Vinci's.

Bookmark is the challenge for One Powerful Hour this week. I created this with the intention of adding funny comment to it about desperately in need of a good book, because really, who has time to sit around in flowing green dress and play with birds? But I found myself a bit keen on the end result, keen enough to make it my official Jane Austen bookmark. Last spring I bought the complete Jane Austen, read one story, and it's now collecting dust under my bed. Time to revive Jane, this bookmark will help.

Today was election day in the U.S. Of course concession and acceptance speeches were made well before ballots were even counted in Alaska, but that does little to squash my happiness surrounding the day's events. I was inspired not only by the day, but by Shelly's Vote for Hope piece posted to her blog. Do check it out. My own little artsy piece sports a collage image from Lisa's Altered Art, lots of German scrap and just some scrap in general, flourishes from Quietfire Design, and letters from Hero Arts. Angel is also the Wednesday Stamper theme. Today I cast my vote for hope and hope has been restored.
